After running dry tires in greasy conditions at Otway last year, it’s time for tall nobs and extra spacing.
Why travel around in a crappy hire car when you can burn around in a shiny FJ40.

What better day to spend Invasion Day – on the coastline where natives were attacked back in the day. While it was cool to have native animals all round us, coming nice and close, it would’ve been nice to have more real natives and less white trash around.

Time to eat – the ultimate tower of meringue, Cherry Ripe, strawberry, and even flower petal goodness.

Congratulations to Bec Henderson for running the a massively successful race in Kowen last week, the DuoClassic pairs race. Everyone was excited and curious to race in this new format and it proved to be a great way to do it. There were plenty of punctures along the way, including my team… twice, but everyone still looked happy before, during and after the race. With a course of mostly single track and not much climbing, it was a fast one. My mate Lewie and I did it in around 2:15, 30 secs behind the winners – the Onyabike boys. And everyone seems keen to do it again. I think numbers will go from this year’s 320 to over 500. Can’t wait!
Some photos from Greg Long captured the event nicely…

It was cool teaming up with legend Shaun Lewis.

Team Pink Bits were flying out there, despite limited training.

Even the infamous Wheelie King was out there!

It was a fast course, as shown by 'Missile Mal'.

It’s official – I’ve made the switch to the Rockstar Racing team for 2012. It’s a decision I’ve made based on what will make racing in the short and long term easier, more fun and more successful. The Rockstar outfit is the most progressive and well backed in Australia and I’ll be joining a great crew.
It’s been a great 5 years with Trek, who have been kind enough to support me locally and in Japan. I got to ride great bikes and meet plenty of great people along the way.
I’m now looking forward to the new ride and will make sure I make the most of this new opportunity.
